We describe ourselves as a ‘Community Church at the heart of the Somerset Moors’ and that is what we seek to be … a Church working together with and for the communities around us.
We are a member church of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, and the South West Baptist Association, so have those shared values at the heart of our life – seeking to follow Jesus in the way we live our lives; worshipping together and meeting together regularly to pray and to seek God’s direction for our shared life; offering welcome and hospitality to people of all faiths and none; working together to share the love of God and the good news of Jesus with those we meet day by day.
As well as our regular Sunday morning worship, during which our children and young people meet to learn and discover more about God in their own way, we also hold Messy Church from time to time. We have a carers, babies and pre-school group that meets weekly; a Luncheon Club, for those who would otherwise eat alone, that meets once a fortnight; a group called CAMEO (Come and Meet Each Other) who meet monthly; Who Let the Dads Out? a group for dads and children of all ages that meet monthly on a Saturday morning; a home group who meet weekly to study the Bible and pray together, in the home of two of our members; and many more occasional social occasions too! Details of all these events can be found on our Services and Events page.
We’d love to welcome you, whether you’re a resident or visitor to this lovely part of Somerset.
